As he disclosed in a column released Friday, Nicholas Kristof’s father has abruptly passed away, and the surviving Kristof is riddled with guilt. Earlier in the week, the day after his father died but apparently without knowledge of his death, Kristof had suggested that people honor the fathers in their life by sponsoring rats in Africa for Father’s Day. To rub it in, I urge all of you to send comments to Kristof’s later article suggesting he sponsor a rat in memory of his father. Kristof has reason to be guilty: it appears that he may be guilty of patricide and manslaughter, or, as I like to call it, “guyslaughter.” The elder Kristof actually seemed to be an admirable guy, imprisoned by the Nazis for spying on them on behalf of Austro-Hungary. At age 80, he still chopped wood as quickly as Nick, though one would naturally expect an 80 year-old guy to chop wood as much as a mangina a generation his junior. Kristof’s “donate-a-rat-for-Father’s Day” column came out Wednesday – his father had died Tuesday on the West Coast, but Kristof made no mention of his death in the column, so presumably he hadn’t yet received word. I [...]

As I commented to The Spearhead, in his continuing assault on guys, New York Times mangina in chief Nicholas Kristof recommended that people donate a rat for Father’s Day in lieu of a direct gift to their fathers, husbands, etc.: http://tinyurl.com/2wpu53j He said guys didn’t need more neckties. Of course, maybe if wives and daughters bothered to put a second’s thought into what their husbands and fathers did for them and the gifts they bought for Father’s Day which are supposed to reflect that, guys wouldn’t be getting so many neckties. I got my dad a pair of tickets for tomorrow’s Mayor’s Trophy Series game between the Yankees and Mets. After virtually growing up in the original real Yankee Stadium, where he saw DiMaggio, Berra, and Ford play and attended Babe Ruth’s farewell, it will be his first visit to the new fake “Yankee Stadium.” The gift is, in part, appreciation for his taking me to my first game in the original stadium (in 1966, with Mickey Mantle in the lineup), as well as Yankee games at Shea Stadium (including Ron Guidry’s first start) and the first night game in the renovated stadium, when Thurman Munson was behind the plate.
As I just wrote on February 22, a female Goldman Sachs Partner, Addy Loudiadis was behind the fraudulent scheme to defraud the world financial community concerning the level of Greece’s debt. I wrote, “unless the conspiracy theorists are right, and Goldman is above the law, it can’t be long before Goldman starts paying more of a price for shit like this.” Prior to the Greece debt-scandal, Goldman was increasingly seen as having too much influence and, in effect, operating the United States Department of Treasury as a division of the company. The Greece scandal, however, was of a different nature – more fraud than influence. The chickens are already coming home to roost. Just days after my post, in what The Wall Street Journal labeled an “unusual disclosure,”, Goldman, for the first time, noted in its annual report that “adverse publicity” is a “risk factor” it was required to disclose to investors, stating that it “could adversely affect our businesses and results of operations.” For those, like Nicholas Kristof as well as some broads who have been scapegoating guys for Wall Street’s downfall and insisting that the Street hire more women, the Loudiadis/Greece scandal is an embarrassment. But its been [...]

Regular readers of the Monologues may recall my post Benedict Arnold Kristof watch, in which I refuted New York Times columnist/mangina Nicholas Kristof’s assertion that Wall Street banks would be better off with more women, and if Lehman Brothers had actually been “Lehman Brothers and Sisters.” Kristof’s hypothesis was that guys take too many risks. Its not just Kristof, of course – women have made the argument, as well. Noting that Wall Street had been a financial engine unequaled in history until the mass arrival of women, after which it soon collapsed, and that Lehmans’ CFO just before its implosion – and who many blame for it – was an oft-underclad 42 YO woman, I made the point that what Lehman was actually short on was regular guys, like smart, even-mannered beta-male types that could effectively communicate with the generally alpha-male leadership. The de-brotherization of Wall Street has again come to the fore in the latest phase of the global financial meltdown, the Greek debt crisis, which has been pummeling not just Greece but the Euro, with reverberations around the world. As it turns out, in the words of The Wall Street Journal, “the architect” of Goldman Sachs’ 2001 trade with the Greek [...]

Three posts by DirkJohanson on The Balls Monologues have been nominated in the Online category for the prestigious Gerald Loeb Awards, presented by the UCLA Anderson School of Management. The Loeb Awards were established in 1957 by the late Gerald Loeb to honor journalists who make significant contributions to the understanding of business, finance and the economy. He intended to encourage reporting on these subjects that would both inform and protect the private investor and the general public. According to Anderson School’s website, “Distinguished journalists nationwide participate.” And now one journalist not so distinguished. The nominated Monologues posts are — EconGuyinism, which demonstrated that the world financial meltdown of 2008 had its root cause in debt-fueled spending by and on behalf of overly-empowered women, — the Monologues’ maiden Benedict Arnold Kristof Watch, which debunked New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof’s theory that the absence of women in the upper-echelons of Wall Street caused the crisis, and — Fuckanomics in the Spotlight, which initiated the idea on these pages that there is, in effect, already a global currency, and that the currency is sex. Last year’s winners in the online category were: “Keeping Up With The Wangs,” by Art Lenehan, Anh Ly and Suzanne McGee, of MSN [...]

Nicholas Kristof recently ran a column in the New York Times, praising Costa Rica as having the happiest people in the world. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/07/opinion/07kristof.html Kristof, who has frequently crusaded against prostitution but seems to have come to his senses a bit regarding the issue, failed to mention one of the obvious reasons why Costa Ricans are so happy: Costa Rica is one of the world’s leading centers of prostitution. After all, what else does a guy really need to be happy, then a plethora of readily-available, reasonably-priced whores? And women from the world over - eager to accrue compensation, instead of false promises, in exchange for valuable sex - flock there. They seem to like it, too.
As noted in my debut post, Welcome to The Balls Monologues, Dan Savage is probably the most prominent guy sex columnist in America. Savage and I don’t agree about everything. For instance, he finds sticking his cock where another guy shits from to be sexually exciting, and whereas Savage presumably likes having other guys’ ball milk in his mouth and on his face, the only guy cum I allow on my lips is my own, and then only when it is via the lips of a hot chick or, even better, two hot chicks (for those of you who think having your own cum on your lips is gay, unless you’ve refused the invitation from two hot chicks who are licking your cum of their respective lips to join in, you have no standing to criticize). Even on some points with which we agree, we do so for different reasons. As an example, Savage is one of America’s most outspoken proponents of same sex marriage, propounding that the position as one of equal rights that results in discrimination against gays. I, on the other hand, support same-sex marriage as a way to take the gloss out of girl-on-girl by leveling the playing field in favor of straight guys. When fellow girls [...]

In Mistresses of the Universe (Benedict Arnold Kristof watch), Kristof gave the dubious opinion that that the problem in banking is that there are too many males and not enough females. The other day, Kristof wrote about education policy. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/15/opinion/15kristof.html?_r=1 In italics below is Guyinism’s official statement in response to the article: Perhaps the reason our schools are broken is that there are too many female teachers, and not enough male teachers. It is possible that, if some fields don’t have enough women, others have too many, right Nick? Its possible that guys would do a better job at something on this planet that doesn’t involve heavy lifting, isn’t it Nick? Or can it only work one way? As set forth in the developing compendium on http://guyinism.com there are many things guys are better at that women. Perhaps, just perhaps, teaching is one of them. Guyinism supports meaningful education reform, not just in curriculum – we must attract some of our best and brightest to teaching. For instance, Guyinism supports giving teachers the option of larger salaries in exchange for reduced retirement benefits. This reform which would attract more male teachers to the profession, since they would then be able to afford expensive cars to impress chicks [...]
