BBall Bunk-O

October 28, 2009

As you probably know, controversy has arisen over President Obama’s participation in an all-male basketball game with congressmen.  Women have cried “foul,” bemoaning their lack of access, and arguing that it represents a long pattern of exclusion of women from access to Presidents, including with respect to participation in sports.

My comments to Maureen Dowd’s column today in the New York Times (“Oval Man Cave”) on the subject:

“Women have had a special kind of access to several of our Presidents that no guy has been known to ever have – one such woman who comes immediately to mind is Monica Lewinsky.”
