Is having balls a pre-existing condition?
Women have been lobbying for changes in the health insurance market. Their rallying cry is “Is having a uterus a pre-existing condition?”
They are whining about such practices as “gender rating” – charging women higher premiums (even though they go the doctor more than guys) – and refusing to cover maternity, even though one of the near-universal fundamental principals of insurance is that voluntary conduct is not insurable since it is within the control of the insured as to whether a claim will be made. In fact, their efforts have resulted in California just passing a law prohibiting gender rating.
Of course, none of them are asking the obvious: “if a uterus can’t be a pre-existing condition for health insurance, why is it ok for balls to still be a pre-existing condition for auto insurance and for life insurance?
