Nicholas Kristof recently ran a column in the New York Times, praising Costa Rica as having the happiest people in the world. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/07/opinion/07kristof.html

Kristof, who has frequently crusaded against prostitution but seems to have come to his senses a bit regarding the issue, failed to mention one of the obvious reasons why Costa Ricans are so happy: Costa Rica is one of the world’s leading centers of prostitution.

After all, what else does a guy really need to be happy, then a plethora of readily-available, reasonably-priced whores?

And women from the world over - eager to accrue compensation, instead of false promises, in exchange for valuable sex - flock there. They seem to like it, too.
