1.19.09 – Porn is Inaugurated into the Mainstream
This post has nothing to do with President Obama.
It was announced this day that Former Miss USA and seven-year star of soap opera Passions, Kelli McCarty, has signed with Vivid to be the lead in porno movie: http://www.tmz.com/2009/01/19/miss-usa-drops-the-soap-takes-up-porn/
While several porn stars have made the leap into mainstream, the Pam Andersons and Paris Hiltons have been caught on homemade video, and a few people well-known for other things (John Wayne Bobbitt comes to mind) have done porn after achieving their 15 minutes, this is the first-time a well-known mainstream actress and otherwise mainstream female celeb has made the leap into real made-by-a-porn-company porn. Of course, this is only the beginning. It was during my adult lifetime that even going topless in Playboy was considered controversial.
We can only imagine what, within months, we can expect Mr. Skin ( http://www.mrskin.com/ ) to feature. Perhaps it will be Cameron Diaz doing a bukkake, the Olsen Twins going ass-to-mouth on each other, or a romp with Scarlett Johansen while she does a feature tour of the Bunny Ranch, but where the used tissues contain your cum, not her snot (or, heck, both, if that’s what you’re in to).
And for you regular guys with jobs that wouldn’t mind getting in on it, soon there will be no reason for you to wear a mask while shooting a gang-bang anymore. In fact, soon you’ll be able to use your real name in porn, leaving few people, other than me, with a legitimate need to use an alias. You’ll be able to ask tell your guidance counselor you want to be a porn producer. To paraphrase FDR at his first inaugural, the only thing you’ll have to fear is fear itself.
McCarthy’s DVD, Faithless, hits stores February 4: http://blogs.tampabay.com/juice/2009/01/former-miss-usa.html
